daikon warrior FAQ
What does daikon mean?
Roughly translated, it means 'huge,' or 'super-awesome.' Some people keep e-mailing me and telling me it's a type of long, cucumber-sized radish, but that's just crazy talk and we all know it.
I was told your comics would be the funny, and they're very much NOT the funny. I was PROMISED the funny. Where is the funny!?
I can't be held responsible for the shortcomings of others, especially when it comes to something as serious as a sense-of-humor deficiency.
何で日本語でコミクスを書きません?
未来に一枚日本語で書くつもりです。質問を送ってくれてありがとうごじあいました。
Why won't my browser let me read the question directly above this one?
It's probably not Japanese-enabled. Click here to get a Japanese language pack for Windows or click here for the Japanese version of Firefox.
Why do the characters have stats in their bios? Is this really necessary for a comic strip?
If Clyde encounters an enemy, it's important for the storyline to know how much damage he can withstand/dish out. Without this knowledge, how could we determine a winner?
Okay, fine. How are the stats determined? I'm guessing you just make them up...
Wrong! There is actually a formula for determining characters' experience levels, based mostly on the number of vowels/consonants spoken by each character (vowels=2pts, consonants=1pt.). Levels are gained according to this chart, and stats increase by individual character multipliers, as defined by this chart. Experience points are also added where explicitly stated. [charts not yet completed]
Don't you think that is overly complicated?
Yes, but what can I do? I'm just one person.
Why aren't Japanese ATM vestibules open 24 hours per day?
The ATM's in convenience stores usually are. As for the other ones, if they broke in the middle of the night, who would fix them?
Those kanji in the bottom left-hand corner of every final panel, what do they mean?
They're there to discourage counterfeiting, kind of like a watermark. Counterfeit comic fraud has accounted for much of the destabilization of the value of the comic medium and over 47 percent of comic inflation.
That didn't answer my question at all. Let's try this again: What do the kanji mean?
They're like a Zen koan. The meaning is for you to determine. It could be something significant, or nothing at all, depending on how much you open your mind.
No, kanji are not like a Zen koan. They are characters that have both a pronunciation and a meaning that can be translated into English, SO TELL ME WHAT THEY MEAN.
If it's that easy then why don't you just translate them yourself?
I hate you.
You must not've read the FAQ for this site. That's a comment, not a question. FAQ's are for questions. That's what the Q stands for.
Do you have hidden messages in your comics?
You mean like sketches of naked girls and the 'mark of the beast' on a character's face and things like that? I should hope not!
Do you have any other FAQ pages on this site?
Yes. There's a [peachycomics.com FAQ], a [music FAQ], and a [Daikon Warrior Game FAQ].
